SEE HUNGRY FOR CHANGE FLIER

Description: Event will comprise of showing the film Food, Inc. Following the film, a panel of health food/green initiative experts will discuss the film and answer questions.

At the event, Phi Theta Kappa members will be collecting donations to go toward the purchase of a green house for the Community FoodBank of NJ Southern Branch.

The purpose of this event is firstly to educate people about the importance of implementing healthy options into their diet, and secondly to collect monetary donations for the food bank so that it can purchase a green house to benefit the community. Healthy food options are important to everyone, but they are even more important to those who cannot afford to add healthy options into their diet.

IMPORTANT: We are looking for volunteers for the event. We need people to pass out fliers and advertise the event prior to the event, at least two people to act as greeters, a few people to collect monetary donations inside the theater, and people to fulfill other duties that may arise. For those interested in selling lollipops to raise money for the club, plan to attend tomorrow’s meeting when bags of lollipops will be distributed.

All monies and extra lollipops must be returned no later than Tuesday, December 15th, when we will have a short (no more than 20 minutes) end-of-the-semester meeting. A time for this meeting will be determined at tomorrow’s meeting.

If you decide to participate in the phone-a-thon, you will earn $5.00 to be put towards your trip to the Phi Theta Kappa International Convention in Orlando, Florida.

The 6-year old son needs: School pants, Sweatshit and shirts.

The 13-month old daughter needs: Sleepware, play clothes, and a storybook.

Unforturnatley, we were not provided sizes for the children, but since they are young it shouldn’t be difficult to find clothes that will fit.

Phi Theta Kappa is selling Partylite candles to raise money for this year’s Phi Theta Kappa International convention in Orlando, Florida

Anyone wanting to place an order should contact either Nicole Schoenstein (President) at 609-204-8625 or Dorothy Doyne (Treasurer) at 609-241-4028. We will take your order over the phone or setup a time to meet you at ACCC to do it in person.

We will be accepting orders through December 1st for Christmas delivery! 50% of all proceeds will go to help Phi Theta Kappa achieve their goals.
