Transfer Destination: Chadron State College
**Chadron State College offers a number of PTK tuition waivers which are good for up to 16 credit hours per semester for four semesters. To earn a PTK scholarship, an applicant must be a former active PTK member, have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, have an associates degree, and enroll at at CSC full-time in the fall immediately following their graduation. (Preference is given to on-campus students.)

Attention all Phi Theta Kappa members, are you interested in being nominated for for an inclusive scholarship competition? Atlantic Cape Community College is lookin to nominate two well-rounded students to the All-USA Academic Team! The All-USA Community College Academic Team program annually selects 20 students to the national team, each receiving a $2,500 stipend and medallion as recognition as an outstanding two-year college student. All receive extensive national recognition through coverage in USA TODAY.
In addition, The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has announced the establishment of the Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team program, providing up to $350,000 in stipends. Fifty students will be named Gold Scholars, receiving $1,500, 50 students will be named Silver Scholars, receiving $1,250, and 50 students will be named Bronze Scholars, receiving $1,000. A state may have multiple Gold, Silver or Bronze Scholars. All scholars will also receive special medallions and will be listed in an April issue of the USA TODAY newspaper. Finally, an additional 150 national finalists will be selected from multiple states, each receiving a $1,000 stipend. Phi Theta Kappa sponsors 37 All-State Academic Team Recognition ceremonies, during which stipends, scholarships and special recognitions are presented to All-State Team winners.
The top scoring student (based on scores received in the All-USA competition) from each of the 50 states will be named a New Century Scholar and will receive a $2,000 stipend. New Century Scholars will be presented at the AACC Convention. In addition, one student from a chapter in Canada and one student from a chapter outside of the United States will be named a New Century Scholar. The New Century Scholars program is sponsored annually by the American Association of Community Colleges, The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, and Phi Theta Kappa.
Students nominated to the Coca-Cola All-State Community College Academic Team are automatically named to the All-State Academic Team in 37 participating states. All-State members receive special recognition including medallions, certificates and oftentimes stipends and scholarships.
IN ORDER TO BE NOMINATED, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
1. Nominee must have at least 36 semester (or 48 quarter) college-level credit hours either completed at or transferred to a community college by December 31, 2009, and be on a pace and intend to have at least 48 semester (72 quarter) college-level credit hours by August 31, 2010.
2. Nominee must have a minimum of 30 semester (45 quarter) college-level credit hours completed at a community college in the past five years (fall 2004-present).
3. Nominee is on track to obtain an associate or bachelor degree.
4. Nominee must post a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 out of a possible 4.0 in all college credit coursework completed in the last five years.
5. Nominee’s record at the community college free from suspension, probation or other serious disciplinary action.
6. Nominee’s record is either free from any criminal conduct or, if a convicted felon, has completed all conditions or sentencing, including probation.

This is a friendly reminder that Atlantic Cape Community College is looking to nominate two (2) students for the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship!
The Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships are awarded to the nation’s top two-year or community college students who have financial need. The selection process for these awards is rigorous and highly competitive, with approximately 50 scholarships awarded each year out of hundreds of nominees.
Applicants must have achieved a cumulative college grade-point average of 3.50 or better on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) and plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to commence studies in the fall of 2010.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
* Be a current student at an accredited US community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by December 31, 2009, or a recent graduate (since spring 2005).
* Plan to enroll full-time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in fall 2010.
* Have a cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.50 or better on a scale of 4.0 (or the equivalent).
* Have unmet financial need.
* Have not previously been nominated for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.
If chosen to be a nominee, each complete nomination will include the following:

1. The Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarship is jointly sponsored by L-3 Communications, Medical Education Technologies, Inc, the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa. Up to 25 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded to students currently enrolled in associate degree programs in registered nursing, respiratory care or emergency medical services.
Eligible students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA, must provide a transcript showing completion of at least 50% of associate degree course work, and must demonstrate financial need.
