New Officer Candidates

Posted By Nicole Schoenstein, Chapter President on April 26th, 2010

The candidates listed below are not necessarily the only candidates that there will be for office. However, these are the only two applications I received. If you are interested in running for an officer position, click here for a list of officer positions & descriptions. You must also attend tomorrow’s meeting to be elected:

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Name: Andrea DeCarlo

Are you a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society?:Yes

Degree(s) pursued:Pre-Med

Why do you want to be an officer?: I really want to make the most out of being a Phi Theta Kappa member. I very much want to be involved. Throughout high school I loved doing anything community service related. I attended a performing arts high school so we often sang and performed at hospitals, old-age homes, and for fund raisers. Now that I am in college and I have this wonderful opportunity, I want to get involved again. I want to get as involved as possible. Im a hard worker, I wont let you down. =)

VICE PRESIDENT OF LEADERSHIP

Name: Josephine Richardson

Are you a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society?: Yes

Degree(s) pursued: Associate Degree in Biology ( Pre-Pharmacy)

Why do you want to be an officer?: It is a privilege and great honor to be a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Overcoming my fears was a challenge that kept me from standing to what I believed in. Occasionally elected as leader of group projects gave me confidence to go for what I desired and further enlightened my relationship with people around me. This Honor Society does not only promote academic excellence but also raise leaders. This is the step I am prepared to undertake as a Phi Theta Kappa Member.

Hungry For Change Results

Posted By Nicole Schoenstein, Chapter President on April 5th, 2010

I would like to thank everyone who attended and/or donated money toward the green house fund for the Community FoodBank of NJ Southern Branch.

I am happy to announce that so far, Alpha Delta Mu chapter has collected $365.00 to go toward the green house fund. Wouldn’t you love to help increase the number to $500.00?

Well, you still can! From now until April 20th you can help us get to $500.00 by donating. Donations of 5.00 or more will get you a silicone wristband which says “Phi Theta Kappa” on one side and “Hungry For Change” on the other. Donations can be dropped off for Carolyn Coulter at the Division Office on Mays Landing Landing Campus. To receive a wrist band, please contact Nicole at 609-204-8625 or president@alphadeltamu.net

Checks can be written out to Alpha Delta Mu Chapter, and then in the memo write something to the effect of “food bank green house fund”.

Thank you for helping make a better life for the people of Southern New Jersey!
